Ryaane Fadel

Ryaane is a 20-year old entrepreneur, youth leader, and voice for all. He is a rising junior at The Wharton School studying Finance and Business Analytics.

Ryaane founded his first organization, Smile for School, in March of 2016. After studying the behavior of children out of school, as well as experiencing the horrible act of his brother being shot, Ryaane realized that he had to make a difference concerning education in underprivileged communities. Smile for School helps disadvantaged communities promote motivation and excitement for kids to learn. Ryaane's organization is currently stationed in multiple countries such as Syria, Pakistan, and Jordan, which are run by various ambassadors.

He is also currently working on a project in Algeria where Smile for School will be distributing school supplies to children in return for one thing – a smile.

Within his own community, Ryaane strives to empower youth through their own voices. He is a youth ambassador for the National Society of High School Scholars, where he helps high school students take initiatives within their own communities and find scholarship opportunities to help them through college. He is also a youth committee member for the National Islamic Association, a non-profit organization that teaches Muslim youth about brotherhood and community. In his spare time, he loves to compete in Model United Nation competitions around the country, proudly exhibiting his voice to bring change and win awards at the same time.

Ryaane had the opportunity to attend MIT Launch, where he co-founded a social media company, Buzz, which flips the switch of screen to screen interaction back towards face to face meetups.
